About Me

I caught the media-making bug when I was 14. I’ve been creating art ever since.

My name is Arielle Nelson and I just graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho. (A.S. in Video Production, B.S. in Communication with an emphasis in public speaking.)

My dream dream job would somehow involve me being a public speaker/videographer/eyebrow artist. I have yet to figure out a way to meld those together so what I’d really like to do is make miniature documentaries about people’s lives. Until then, I plan on working hard, learning everything, and telling stories along the way.

Quick facts:

– I live in Provo, Utah.

– I edit in Adobe Premiere or Avid Media Composer.

– I’ve worked both in multi-camera environments and one-on-one with DLSR’s including Canon 7D, Canon T5i, Nikon D6700, and Sony a33.

– I take pride in being a storyteller through video. I think years of writing and public speaking have contributed to that.

– I was raised without a TV but we did have a VHS player and many VHS tapes in the house. I found myself listening to movies while creating the scenes in my head. I think this has strongly influenced my approach to video composition. I film through the eyes of an editor.
